Key Features
Consistently Prepared for Emergencies – Conducts daily automatic self-checks on internal circuits, waveform delivery, pad cartridges, and battery life, ensuring regular maintenance is performed. It executes over 85 self-assessments monthly, weekly, and daily (including electrode pad functionality). If a self-check fails, the device emits a loud chirp to signal it is not ready for use. By pressing the flashing blue i button, the device will inform you of the necessary actions. Its comprehensive self-testing and audible alerts ensure the Philips HS1 defibrillator is always prepared for use.
Status Indicator – A blinking green “Ready” light signifies readiness for use, while an audible “chirp” indicates maintenance is required. Verifying the readiness of your Philips HS1 Defibrillator is straightforward!
Rapid Shock Delivery – Capable of administering a shock following a CPR interval, typically within eight seconds. The user must press the shock button when instructed, but the AED will only deliver a shock if necessary!
Swift Shocks for Enhanced Treatment Success
The European Resuscitation Council advises against interrupting CPR for more than 10 seconds (ERC Official 2015 Resuscitation Guidelines). With a shock delivery time of just 8 seconds, the Philips HS1 defibrillator ranks among the quickest in providing shock treatment post-CPR.
CPR Assistance – When prompted, the user can press the i button for CPR assistance. Once activated, the AED provides CPR prompts and an audible metronome to guide chest compressions at the correct pace. This feature is crucial for helping the rescuer perform CPR at the optimal rate.
