The CoaguChek XS PT Test PST is an in-vitro assay for the determination of prothrombin time (PT) using the CoaguChek INRange / CoaguChek XS meter. The test uses fresh capillary whole blood and is intended for patient self-testing only. 

Strips are stored in vials (small plastic bottles), each containing its own specific code chip. The code chip is to be inserted into the CoaguChek meter and kept in place inside the meter until all the strips from the same vial are used.

Roche strip technology ensures that built-in quality controls automatically check internal system functions and every test strip. Whenever possible, strips should remain in the vial with the cap closed in order to protect them from humidity and contamination. Remove strips from the vial one at a time, store at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.
