The Evolution First Aid Station by Safety First Aid offers a complete first aid solution for workplaces, featuring a British Standard compliant first aid kit in a dust and moisture-resistant Evolution case. It includes dispensers for wound wipes, eye wash pods, and plasters, all mounted on the wall with essential first aid instructions for emergencies. The First Aid Station provides an option of a large or medium BS 8599-1 First Aid Kit housed in a durable plastic Evolution first aid box. The case includes a wall bracket with a quick-release mechanism, allowing the first aid kit to be swiftly removed with one hand. The kit’s contents meet the British Standard for workplace first aid kits, including wound dressings, plasters, bandages, and more.
The HSE’s ‘The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981: Guidance on Regulations’ advises that “The contents of first-aid containers should be checked regularly and restocked promptly after use.” To facilitate this, two security studs are provided with the station, which can be attached to the first aid kit’s handle. This deters unnecessary access to the first aid kit and allows those responsible for first aid to see at a glance when it has been opened, aiding compliance with health and safety standards. A first aid inspection tag is also included for employees to record the inspection date, the inspector, and whether the contents were complete and up-to-date.
Beyond the first aid kit, the station includes three dispensers for treating minor injuries quickly without opening the first aid box, preserving the main kit for more serious cases. Plasters are often the most needed item and can easily go missing. The Salvequick secure plaster dispenser prevents unauthorized removal of plasters for personal use, as it dispenses one plaster at a time, ready for immediate application. Simply pull down on the plaster for easy one-handed use. The dispenser is locked to prevent unauthorized removal of the plaster packet.
The sterile moist wipe sachet dispenser, containing 50 individually wrapped wipes, allows you to clean wounds and surrounding skin before applying a plaster or dressing. Additionally, a dispenser with 10 20ml sterile saline eye wash pods is included for flushing contaminants from the eye, which can also be used for wound cleansing.
