The Flexistim IF is an advanced Interferential therapy device designed for both clinical and home use, effectively addressing various conditions such as arthritis, joint discomfort, sciatica, spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, muscle strains, and injuries. It provides drug-free pain relief.
Self-adhesive electrode pads deliver electrical impulses to the skin surrounding the painful area. These impulses utilize Interferential therapy to alleviate aches, pains, and strains, offering essential relief when needed most.
IFT (Interferential Therapy) provides continuous deep tissue stimulation, alleviating deep-seated pain and potentially reducing swelling and inflammation, which are often pain sources.
Key features include:
- Three preset and three user-defined programs, allowing customization and saving of preferred settings.
- 60mA Peak to Peak pure sinusoidal carrier wave with constant energy control and a 40mA safety override for home use.
- Compact and lightweight design with a belt clip for portability.
- Easy-to-read, backlit LCD screen for user convenience.
- Removable, rechargeable Li-ion battery for portability and an external mains adapter for extended use.
- Automatically resumes the last used program and includes a Usage Timer to track total usage time and frequency.
- Automatic Keypad Lock activates after 10 seconds of inactivity, with manually adjustable and lockable settings.
- Leads Fault Detector in TENS and EMS modes, reducing output to zero in case of an open circuit.
- Switching charging adapter compatible with both UK and EU connections.
WARNING AND CAUTIONS
Contraindications:
1. Avoid using this device on individuals with a cardiac pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, or other electronic implants, as it may cause electric shock, burns, interference, or death.
2. Do not use on patients with undiagnosed pain syndromes.
Warnings:
1. Avoid applying stimulation over the neck or mouth to prevent severe muscle spasms that could obstruct the airway, cause breathing difficulties, or affect heart rhythm or blood pressure.
2. Do not apply stimulation across the chest, as IFT currents penetrate deeply and may cause heart rhythm disturbances, which could be fatal.
3. Avoid applying stimulation over a pregnant uterus.
4. Do not apply stimulation over open wounds, rashes, or inflamed areas.
5. Avoid applying stimulation near cancerous lesions.
6. Do not use in the presence of electronic monitoring equipment, which may malfunction.
