Medi-Duct For The Morgan Lens. Fluid Management System For Eye Irrigation.

The Medi-Duct is an ocular fluid management system designed to make irrigation with the Morgan Lens even more convenient and easier. Its super-absorbent wick carries the irrigation solution away from the patient through a 24-inch tube.

For best results, tape the Medi-Duct to the head in the position shown in the product photograph.  This allows effective absorption of the outflow and keeps the patient dry. At the end of the tubing, a basin or other collection device can be placed, making for easy collection and disposal.

Within 20 seconds, relief is on its way to your patient, allowing the assessment and treatment of other injuries while ocular therapy is underway. The Morgan Lens was developed by a practising ophthalmologist – it was designed to be up and running within seconds to save sight and save time.

Ocular injuries are often bilateral, but the pain in one eye may mask the pain in the other, or nerve damage may have created an analgesic effect (especially with alkali burns). Unless the second eye is completely pain-free and no pathology is discovered, immediate irrigation should be started in both eyes.
