The Manchester Arena incident highlighted the need for innovative strategies in handling major emergencies with numerous casualties. As a result, the Ten Second Triage (TST) tool has been adapted for use by anyone involved in major emergencies to provide initial care to victims before the NHS clinical teams arrive.
Created to support initial responders before medical teams reach the site and enables quick prioritization based on victim status to expedite the process of getting medical attention to those in need.
