3M™ Opticlude™ Orthoptic Eye Patches are designed for the treatment of childhood strabismus and amblyopia, often known as “lazy eye.” By covering the dominant eye, the patch stimulates the weaker eye to improve its function.
With a hypoallergenic 3M™ Micropore™ Tape backing, Opticlude eye patches are easy to apply and remove with minimal skin irritation, while the pressure-sensitive adhesive keeps the patch securely in place during the occlusion period. The non-adherent pad is absorbent, preventing eye secretions from sticking to the surrounding skin, and the Micropore tape backing ensures normal skin respiration. Additionally, the thin, lightweight design requires no shaping, folding, or cutting.
