The Accutrend cholesterol test strips are designed for measuring blood cholesterol levels with the Accutrend Plus meter. A single drop of capillary blood is sufficient to determine cholesterol levels, with results available in 180 seconds. These test strips ensure precise measurements, covering a range of 150 - 300 mg/dl, equivalent to 3.88 - 7.76 mmol/l.
Each package includes 25 test strips along with a code strip.
Accutrend Plus utilizes high-quality, specially crafted test strips. The test strips feature:
- a yellow protective mesh treated with a surfactant (application area)
- a glass fiber fleece that acts as a separator for blood cells
- a reaction film where color development occurs and
- a bar code on the back, which the meter reads to verify test strip identity, ensuring the lot number matches the stored code
