The slip resistance of the Tokio Super Grip sole has been verified according to EN ISO 20347:2012, achieving the highest SRC rating.

Upper: Natural leather
Natural leather is distinguished by its unprocessed surface. BIRKENSTOCK intentionally retains the natural grain and unique characteristics. The upper material is made from robust leather with a thickness ranging from 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters.
Insole: Suede
The supple leather lining is gentle on the skin, conforming smoothly to the foot's shape. Its open-pored, breathable surface ensures a pleasant foot climate, even during intense activities.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is an eco-friendly material sourced from the bark of the cork oak tree. This natural substance provides excellent insulation and cushioning.
Outsole: Super-grip
The super-grip sole features a dual-component design: a nonslip, oil- and grease-resistant rubber outsole and a lightweight, flexible EVA midsole for shock absorption.
