H-F/HF Antidote Gel is formulated with Calcium Gluconate and is designed to treat skin burns caused by Hydrofluoric Acid exposure. This gel helps prevent calcium depletion from the affected area, minimizing damage to bones and deep tissues.
Research has demonstrated that rinsing the affected skin with water for one minute followed by gently massaging the HF antidote gel into the area until pain subsides is the most effective initial treatment for Hydrofluoric Acid burns.
The HF antidote gel's calcium gluconate component reacts with HF to create insoluble Calcium Fluoride, thereby safeguarding body tissues and bones from calcium loss.
