CellPath endocervical brushes provide an efficient solution for collecting samples from vulval, buccal, endocervical, and nasal surfaces for cytological or microbiological analysis. Numerous studies have shown their effectiveness compared to traditional methods. The collected cellular material can be easily transferred by rolling the brush on a microscope slide.
Endocervical brushes are designed for single use and should typically be used with a spatula for cytological applications. They are not recommended for use during pregnancy.
The hexagonal stem features an enlarged handle for enhanced grip, which is particularly beneficial for practitioners wearing examination gloves. The CerviBrush+ uniquely offers this advantage along with a larger handle for better cervix visualization. The brush head of the CerviBrush+ LBC can be easily detached into a transportation fluid bottle.
