LBC – Cervical / Endocervical Sampler
The innovative CerviBrush+ Profile is designed to gather samples from both the ectocervical and endocervical areas at once. This single-use tool offers advantages for both the patient and the healthcare provider. The cells are efficiently transferred to the slide with a rolling motion, ensuring an even distribution. Immediate fixation of cells minimizes air-drying and artifacts.
LBC is now accessible for clinics utilizing Liquid Based Cytology. After specimen collection, the brush head can be placed into the preservative vial and detached, guaranteeing the laboratory receives the complete sample.
Research conducted at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead, UK in 1990 (1) demonstrated that the CerviBrush+ Profile produced a single smear comparable to two separate preparations using an Ayre spatula and a traditional endocervical brush.
The brush head is firmly integrated into the stem, featuring an enlarged hexagonal handle for effortless rotation.
