The Check-mate™ hCG Dip-strip is a fast chromatographic immunoassay designed for the qualitative identification of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine, assisting in the early detection of pregnancy. The test determines whether the specified threshold has been surpassed.
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a glycoprotein hormone generated by the developing placenta soon after fertilization. In a typical pregnancy, hCG can be identified in urine, serum, or plasma as early as 7 to 10 days post-conception. It serves as an excellent marker for early pregnancy detection.
The Check-mate™ hCG Dip-strip is a quick test that qualitatively identifies hCG presence in urine samples with a sensitivity of 25 mIU/mL. The test employs a combination of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to specifically detect increased hCG levels in urine.
Results are available in 3 minutes without cross-reactivity interference from structurally similar glycoprotein hormones such as human follicle-stimulating hormone, human luteinizing hormone, and human thyroid-stimulating hormone at elevated physiological levels.
