- a yellow protective mesh infused with a surfactant (application area)
- a glass fiber fleece serving as a blood cell separation layer
- a reaction film where color development occurs and
- a barcode on the back, read by the meter to verify test strip identity, ensuring the lot number matches the stored code
All test strips provided should have a minimum of 5 months before expiration
