FERNO PXB Pool Extraction Board. Enhanced Speed & Safety for Pool Extractions.
Developed in collaboration with the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS UK), the Ferno PXB Pool Extraction Board ensures quicker and safer rescues for pool lifeguards. It requires only two trained personnel to efficiently perform a pool rescue from deck-level pools or those with a freeboard up to 30cm.
Lifeguards can execute a faster, controlled rescue in shallow or deep water, deck-level, or freeboard pools, minimizing injury risk and enhancing casualty safety. The Ferno PXB board supports a maximum load of 182kg/28 stone.
The Ferno PXB Pool Extraction Board comes complete with a head block and color-coded restraint straps.
Engineered for Swift Swimmer Removal.
The Ferno PXB Pool Extraction Board is specifically engineered for the swift removal of swimmers in distress or those who have fallen ill in the pool. The board also facilitates safe immobilization and extraction of casualties with potential spinal injuries. An integrated anchor mat at the head-end enhances stability.
The PXB board's neutral buoyancy ensures the casualty remains on the water's surface without additional flotation devices. The five restraint straps are crafted from durable polypropylene, featuring an easy-to-use fixation system with specially developed anti-bacterial VELCRO®. The head blocks also include anti-bacterial additives for superior infection control.
The durable edge-stitched Neoprene anti-slip mat is tailored for aquatic use. The rubberized anchor mat ensures safe and effective stabilization of the board to the poolside during operation. The board's underside is designed to provide a firm anchor against the poolside while the casualty is secured and immobilized.
Basic Operating Instructions.
- One operator can securely stabilize the PXB Board at the poolside by kneeling on the anchor mat, maintaining the board at an angle in the water
- The second operator then positions the casualty onto the board
- Once the casualty is on the board, they can be secured using the five restraint straps
- The casualty can then be swiftly and safely removed from the pool using the anchor mat as a drag handle
