Review:
"After exploring multiple techniques, we have determined that utilizing the Hyfrecator to create a perforation through the scrotal skin above the vas, secured by the ring forceps, is the most effective approach. This method results in a nearly bloodless procedure, much to the relief of the patient. Once the vas is accessed through the scrotal skin with the surgical haemostat, the Hyfrecator efficiently coagulates and vaporizes a 2-3cm section. This section is then cut, and the ends are returned to the scrotal area. The small skin opening is then closed and sealed with Opsite. The astonishment on the faces of the patients and their partners when the procedure concludes is truly rewarding!
I highly recommend the Hyfrecator, especially due to its utility in various minor surgical procedures in general practice. Its versatility has made it an essential tool in our treatment room.
In my GP practice in Colchester (Essex), my colleagues and I conduct between 6 and 12 vasectomies weekly. We also serve as a training center, certifying qualified doctors to offer NSV services upon successful completion of the training program."
