The Marsden M-400 is a two-in-one baby scale that includes a slide on/off tray. It can be utilized for weigh babies and then the tray can be removed and young children can then stand on the scale. This is perfect for paediatric departments due to the highly accurate 5g increments.
Class III Approved baby scales need to be highly accurate in order to meet the standard set by the NAWI directive. All scales ‘used in the determination of mass in the practice of medicine for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosis and medical treatment’ must be Class III Approved. Approved scales are subject to rigorous testing by an EU notified body, which offers assurance to the user that they are accurate and reliable.
