Medi-Test urinalysis strips offer:
- High resistance to interference from ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Many strips available are susceptible to vitamin C interference, leading to inaccurately low or negative results. The most impacted tests include blood, glucose, bilirubin, and nitrite.
- The Medi-Test Glucose test is the most sensitive available, providing enhanced glucose level management for diabetics. It detects glucose levels as low as 1.1mmol/l, which is five times more sensitive than a competitor.
- Results can be read between 30 and 60 seconds (except for leukocyte, which requires 120 seconds like all other brands). This feature allows healthcare professionals to conveniently read all results simultaneously.
- Medi-Test strips maintain a long shelf-life even after opening. In contrast, some competitor strips must be discarded within six months of opening.
- The test pads on Medi-Test strips are aligned with the color blocks on the label, ensuring easy and accurate reading of results.
- Aligning the arrows on the test strips with those on the label prevents any confusion regarding strip positioning, ensuring accurate result interpretation for each test.
