The Neurotip test evaluates diminished sharpness/pain sensation in small nerve fibers, utilizing a calibrated spring mechanism that applies a 40g force for patient assessment.
The Monofilament test evaluates protective touch/pressure sensation in large nerve fibers.
- The Neuropen® Monofilament delivers a precise 10g force to effectively evaluate reduced pressure sensitivity.
- The Neuropen®'s main component is designed for repeated use.
Neuropen® Monofilaments are interchangeable monofilaments for the Neuropen®, applying a 10g force to the skin to evaluate protective touch/pressure sensation in large nerve fibers; they are not included with the Neuropen.
