The Manchester Arena event highlighted the need for innovative strategies in handling major incidents with numerous casualties. As a result, the Ten Second Triage (TST) tool has been adapted for use by anyone involved in major incident response to provide care to victims before the NHS clinical teams arrive.
Created to support initial responders before medical teams reach the site and enables quick prioritization based on victim status to minimize the time until the injured receive medical attention.
