The Swann-Morton Retractable safety scalpel is designed to improve safety protocols commonly used in Operating Rooms and Theatres.
With color coding for easy identification of blade shapes, these scalpels now include a reinforced temporary forward lock to prevent accidental retraction when in contact with bone, an extra notch for secure blade positioning during passing, and a rear permanent lock for safe disposal in a sharps container.
The extended cutting edge and long, fine point of the 11P make it ideal for stab incisions in soft tissue, suitable for inserting chest drains and cardiac catheters. Compatible with Fitment No.3. Fits Handles 3, 3L, 3 Graduated, 5B, 7, 9, B3, and B3L.
