The Bedfont piCOTM Smokerlyzer® breath CO monitor is a vital instrument utilized by smoking cessation clinics and health professionals to encourage smokers to quit.
This device features a large, colorful touchscreen display with an intuitive user interface for effortless operation. With a single button press, users can conduct a test by following on-screen instructions for inhaling, exhaling, and stopping. The device measures carboxyhaemoglobin (%COHb) and carbon monoxide levels (ppm) in a breath sample, delivering results in seconds. It displays PPM and %COHb values alongside a green, amber, and red traffic light system for easy result interpretation.
The piCOTM Smokerlyzer® can be linked to a PC via USB using the complimentary COdata+ software. This software facilitates patient data entry, reading capture while connected, result storage, interpretation, and reporting. (USB cable not included).
Engineered with infection control as a priority, the device's plastic casing incorporates SteriTouch® technology, eliminating 99.9% of harmful bacteria upon contact. Utilizing advanced sensor technology, the piCOTM Smokerlyzer® requires no calibration, though verification gas and kits are available for monitor status checks if needed.
The device is backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty for added assurance. It employs a reusable, multi-patient d-piece along with Bedfont’s patent-pending Steribreath® single-use mouthpieces, available in boxes of 250, each individually sealed for superior infection control.
