The piCObabyTM Smokerlyzer® is a breath carbon monoxide monitor tailored for pregnant smokers. It serves as an essential tool for visualizing the impact of smoking on both the mother and the unborn child. Ideal for use in midwifery settings and smoking cessation programs, as well as in research involving general smokers.
This device features a large, color touchscreen with an intuitive interface for effortless operation. With a single button press, users can conduct a test by following on-screen instructions for inhaling, exhaling, and stopping. It measures carbon monoxide levels (ppm), carboxyhaemoglobin (%COHb), and fetal carboxyhaemoglobin (%FCOHb) in a breath sample. Results are quickly displayed, showing PPM, %COHb, and %FCOHb values, along with a green, amber, and red traffic light system for easy result interpretation.
The piCObabyTM can connect to a PC via USB using the complimentary COdata+ software. This software facilitates patient data entry, reading capture while connected, result storage, interpretation, and reporting. (USB cable not included). Designed with infection control in mind, the device's plastic casing incorporates SteriTouch® technology, eliminating 99.9% of harmful bacteria upon contact.
The device is calibration-free and comes with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty. Verification gas and kits are available for monitor status checks if needed. It utilizes a reusable, multi-patient d-piece along with Bedfont’s patent-pending Steribreath® single-use mouthpieces, available in boxes of 250, individually sealed for superior infection control.
